Problems: Are you having a difficult time opening DAA files? It’s possible that you don’t have the PowerISO for opening DAA files installed on your PC or that you have a registry-related error. DAA files require the PowerISO software program installed on your computer in order to open properly. To rule out a registry error, run our free registry scan.

Manual Removal Instructions: To manually remove a DAA file, right-click the Start button and click on Explore. This will open up Windows Explorer. Find your hard drive in the left side pane and double-click the drive. Next, go to the Search bar and type in: *.DAA

Windows will search your disc drive for files ending with the file extension of .DAA and will list any DAA file found on the drive. Right-click on the specific DAA you’d like to delete and click Delete found in the pop-up menu. When asked if you are sure you want to send the DAA file to the Recycle Bin, click on the Yes button.

Solution/Recommendations: If you are having trouble with the File Extension DAA or the PowerISO application, make sure you are running the latest version of the software. Most software developers regularly release updates and patches to fix known problems with the application. In addition, DAA file corruption and missing DAA file associations can often be linked to registry-related errors. Because of this, we highly recommend a registry scan to rule out potential DAA file issues found within the registry itself.

If you have PowerISO installed on your PC but are still having trouble opening DAA files, go back into Windows Explorer and right-click on the DAA file you’d like to open. Click on Open With and then click on Choose Default Program. Windows will display a list of recommended programs. If PowerISO is listed, click the appropriate icon. Place a check mark in the check box that says, “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.”

In addition, PowerISO allows you to double-click ISO files and launch them with the PowerISO program.
