Description: PowerISO Direct Access Archive files. PowerISO
is a program used for working with CD/DVD image files. It
allows you to open, extract, create, compress, edit, split,
encrypt, and convert ISO files. In addition, with PowerISO
installed, you can mount these files as if they were an
internal virtual drive. PowerISO is capable of processing
nearly all CD-ROM image files including BIN and ISO. DAA is
a format used with image files. DAA supports advanced
features including compression, password protection, and
splitting to multiple volumes. This format is similar to .RAR.

Problems:
Are you having a difficult time opening DAA files? It’s
possible that you don’t have the PowerISO for opening DAA
files installed on your PC or that you have a
registry-related error. DAA files require the PowerISO
software program installed on your computer in order to open
properly. To rule out a registry error, run our free

Removal Instructions: To manually remove a DAA file,
right-click the Start button and click on Explore. This will
open up Windows Explorer. Find your hard drive in the left
side pane and double-click the drive. Next, go to the Search
bar and type in: *.DAA
Windows
will search your disc drive for files ending with the file
extension of .DAA and will list any DAA file found on the
drive. Right-click on the specific DAA you’d like to delete
and click Delete found in the pop-up menu. When asked if you
are sure you want to send the DAA file to the Recycle Bin,
click on the Yes button.
Solution/Recommendations: If you are having trouble with the
File Extension DAA or the PowerISO application, make sure you are
running the latest version of the software. Most software
developers regularly release updates and patches to fix
known problems with the application. In addition, DAA file
corruption and missing DAA file associations can often be
linked to registry-related errors. Because of this, we

If you
have PowerISO installed on your PC but are still having
trouble opening DAA files, go back into Windows Explorer and
right-click on the DAA file you’d like to open. Click on

listed, click the appropriate icon. Place a check mark in
the check box that says, “Always use the selected program to
open this kind of file.”

addition, PowerISO allows you to double-click ISO files and
launch them with the PowerISO program.
