Problems:
Are you having a difficult time opening file extension GVP
files? It’s possible that you don’t have the appropriate
program for opening GVP files from the internet or that you
have a registry-related error. GVP files require the Google
Video Player in order to open properly. In addition, you can
view the contents of the file extension GVP file in a text
editor. When you open the file, you can view the URL where
the GVI file is located. To rule out a registry error, run
our free registry scan.
Manual
Removal Instructions: To manually remove a GVP file,
right-click the Start button and click on Explore to open up
Windows Explorer. On the left, double-click the drive you’d
like to search for GVP file extensions. Next, go up to the
Search bar and type in: *.GVP
This will
tell Windows to search the chosen drive for any file ending
with the extension of .GVP. Windows will display a list of
all file extension GVP files found on the drive. Navigate to
the specific GVP you’d like to delete. Right-click on the
GVP file and click on Delete. When asked if you are sure you
want to send the GVP file to the Recycle Bin, click on Yes.
Solution/Recommendations: If you are having trouble with the
GVP files or the Google Video Player, make sure you are
running the latest version of the software. Google releases
updates and patches that address known issues with the
application. In addition, GVP file corruption and missing
GVP file associations can often be linked to
registry-related errors. Because of this, we highly
recommend a registry scan to rule out potential GVP file
extension problems with the registry itself.
If you
have Google Video Player installed on your PC but are still
having trouble opening GVP files, go back into Windows
Explorer and right-click on the GVP file you’d like to open.
Click on Open With and then select Choose Default Program.
Windows will display a list of recommended programs. If
Google Video Player is listed, click on the related icon. To
always open GVP files with this program, be sure to mark the
box that says, “Always use the selected program to open this
kind of file.”
