Problems: Are you having a difficult time opening file extension M4A files? It’s possible that you don’t have the appropriate program for opening M4A files installed on your PC or that you have a registry-related error. M4A files require a media player such as Windows Media Player or Apple QuickTime Player in order to open properly. To rule out a registry error, run our free registry scan.

Manual Removal Instructions: To manually remove a file extension M4A file, right-click the Start button and click on Explore to open up Windows Explorer. On the left, double-click the drive you’d like to search for M4A file extensions. Next, go up to the Search bar and type in: *.M4A
